Smartwatch Market Grew 12% YoY Globally in Q1 2020 | Gizmofeatures

According to new reports which came from canalys reveal that the Global Smartwatch users have been increased by 12% in the first quarter of 2020.

Even though there is corona pandemic across the globe which has disrupted many manufacturing production and Logistic units, the smartwatch market 12% YoY.

there are 5 Smartwatch manufacturers who own the largest share in the smartwatch market for Apple, Huawei, Samsung, Fitbit.

Apple has shipped 5.2 million smartwatches in the first quarter of 2020 holding 36.3 % market share. Hawaii ranks second with 14.9% market share with the 2.1 million shipments which is 113% more growth than the last year. Samsung stands at Number 3 with 1.1 million shipments with a 46% growth than the previous year. Garmin and Fitbit accept 1.1 million and 0.9 million smartwatches respectively.

These statistical reports it clearly says that the Apple watch market has been growing very steadily throughout the US and Europe. Also, there has been a report from the canalys stating Apple AirPods is the must-have Apple accessories in the home.

China being the biggest manufacturer of smartwatches has seen very massive growth in the smartwatch segment this year. smartwatches with built-in cellular-enabled are getting more fraction among the consumers.

hopefully, later this year will have a very very wide variety of smartwatches with the cellular-enabled feature will be hitting the shelves.

China’s low budget local companies such as Xiaomi Huawei Oppo Vivo will have a very wide range of smartwatches in the market by the end of 2020.
